Monica Bedi is an indian actress bikini.Monica is a Capricornian, born on January 18th 1975 in the Village of Chabbewal in the district of Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India.
Her dad's name is Prem Kumar Bedi, her mom's name is Shakuntala (nee Chawla), she has a brother, Bobby, who was married in 1998 to a girl from Tanda near Hoshiarpur.
Her dad was a registered medical practitioner. In 1976 the Bedi family immigrated to Norway to start their own garment business.
At that time Monica was 10 months old.

In 1992 Monica traveled to study English Literature in England's Oxford University.
It is here that she met with Bollywood film actor-producer, Manoj Kumar.Shortly thereafter she traveled to Bombay and met with another film producer, Mukesh Duggal, and was reported to have suffered considerable abuse at his hands.
Mukesh Duggal was subsequently killed.It was through Abu Salem's contacts that Monica was able to get some acting roles, beginning with a movie in Telugu.
She did return to her hometown in 1995 and it was during this time that bandits attacked and killed her grandparents, severely injuring her mom.
Shakuntala decided to live with her brother, Krishan Chawla in Delhi, and refused to re-locate to Norway.
Her husband, her son and his family, as well s nephews, nieces, and sister-in-law, Kanta, re-located to Norway, leaving Kanta's husband, Purshotam, behind to take care of the property in Chabbewal.
Monica Bedi (born 18 January 1975, in Hoshiarpur, Punjab) is an actress and television presenter. She debuted in Hindi films in the mid-1990s.

Early and personal life
Bedi was born to Dr. Prem Kumar Bedi and Shakuntala Bedi in 1975 in the village Chabbewal, district Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Her parents moved to Norway in 1979.
At the end of her under-graduation in India, she joined Oxford University, United Kingdom for reading literature; simultaneously, her acting education got completed at Delhi University in 1995.[1]

Career
Bedi got her first break in Tollywood in the film Taj Mahal (1995), produced by D. Ramanaidu. Apart from Taj Mahal, Ramanaidu also cast her in Sivayya and Speed Dancer (produced by TVD Prasad).[2]
She debuted in Bollywood with Surakshaa (1995 film), opposite Saif Ali Khan.

Bedi was a participant in Big Boss Season 2, a television-based reality show.[3] She was one of the contestants of the reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3.
She was also a contestant on the Desi Girl reality show.

She sung the chants "EkOnkar" for a spiritual music album on Universal Music.[4]

Bedi acted in her first Punjabi movie Sirphire (2012), directed by Harjit Singh Ricky and winning the PTC Award for "best debut".

Jail sentence[edit]
In September 2002, she was arrested with Abu Salem by the Lisbon police for entering Portugal on forged documents.[5] They served jail sentence in Portugal.[6]
On 29 September 2006, an Indian Court convicted Bedi for passport forgery for procuring a passport on a fictitious name.[7]
In November 2010, the Supreme Court of India upheld her conviction but reduced the jail term to the period that she had already served.[8]
